Robyn Ryle is a writer, a sociologist, a professor of gender studies and a stepmother. She’s written two non-fiction books.

Throw Like a Girl, Cheer Like a Boy: The Evolution of Gender, Identity, and Race in Sports is a young adult book that explores the connection between social categories and sports history.
